Brian and I have been praying and processing over this past year as to if I would continue on Young Life Staff and in what capacity. At the same time our area committee was discovering that structural changes needed to be made in order for us as a whole, to be the most effective and have greatest impact. This was an answer to our prayers and was a sign from the Lord that it was time for me to transition off of Young Life staff.
Although I will not be on staff anymore, Brian and I will continue to be involved in the mission in Lynden. From the outside, not much will look different. I love the mission of Young Life and its heart for kids and communities, and I love the Lynden community. As you know, God has done some amazing things in our community of Lynden this past year. We would not be where we are without all of our amazing volunteers and supporters!!! I will continue volunteering on the Lynden High School Young Life team, and leading the team there. Brian and I will also continue together in ministry as volunteers on the Lynden Committee, helping to encourage and lead in the growth of the ministry of Young Life in all of Lynden. We are passionate about this and are excited to volunteer together.
We have clearly been lead in this direction, and we have total peace about this decision and believe it is what is best for us. I am excited to have time to do other things. To help out friends and family watching kids. I will probably clean some houses to make some money. I am excited to see what the Lord has ahead for us!
Blessings to you all!
